DILSET

Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: 20 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how DILSET collects, uses, stores, shares, protects and deletes information when you use the DILSET mobile application, website and related services.

1. Who we are

DILSET is a dating and social connection service operated by Shahid Hussain. In this Privacy Policy, “DILSET,” “we,” “our” and “us” refer to the operator of the DILSET application and services.

By creating an account or using DILSET, you acknowledge the data practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Age requirement

DILSET is intended only for adults who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly allow children under 18 to create accounts or use the service. If we learn that a person under 18 has provided personal information, we may suspend the account and delete the information as appropriate.

3. Information we collect

3.1 Account and identity information

When you create or access an account through Google, we may receive:

  • Your Google account identifier
  • Your name and verified email address
  • Your Google profile photograph, if available
  • Authentication information required to maintain your DILSET session

We do not receive or store your Google password.

3.2 Profile and dating information

Depending on what you choose to provide, we may collect:

  • Name, date of birth and age confirmation
  • Gender, dating preferences and relationship intentions
  • Interests, languages, education and profession
  • Profile biography, height and lifestyle preferences
  • Profile photographs and other uploaded media
  • City, approximate location or precise location
  • Other information added to your profile

Some profile information may reveal sensitive characteristics. You choose which optional information to provide, subject to information required for the service to function.

3.3 Location information

If you grant location permission, DILSET may collect precise or approximate location information to show relevant profiles, support nearby discovery and provide location-based functionality. You can control location permission through your device settings.

3.4 Messages and user content

We process content you create or exchange through DILSET, including:

  • Messages and message requests
  • Uploaded images, audio or other media
  • Likes, passes, matches and other interactions
  • Reports, blocks and safety communications
  • Support requests and correspondence

Other users can see information you intentionally make available through your profile or send to them.

3.5 Device and application identifiers

DILSET collects a privacy-preserving Android App Set ID or, when App Set ID is unavailable, an installation-scoped identifier. The identifier is transmitted securely to our backend and converted into a keyed cryptographic hash before storage. We do not intentionally store the raw identifier in the device-account link database.

We use this identifier only for essential, non-advertising purposes:

  • Account security and account management
  • Fraud, spam and abuse prevention
  • Preventing conflicting account creation from the same App Set
  • Enforcing the 48-hour deletion and restoration process
  • Protecting DILSET and its users

We do not use App Set ID for personalized advertising or advertising measurement. We do not collect IMEI, IMSI, SIM serial number, MAC address or Android Advertising ID for this protection system.

3.6 Push notifications

If notifications are enabled, we may collect a Firebase Cloud Messaging token to deliver message, match, safety and service notifications. You can manage notification permission in your device settings.

3.7 Technical and usage information

We may process technical information including:

  • IP address, app version, platform and operating system
  • Request dates and times
  • Error, security and diagnostic logs
  • Information about use of DILSET features

4. How we use information

  • Create, authenticate and manage accounts
  • Provide matching, discovery, messaging and user interactions
  • Remember account and onboarding status
  • Provide notifications requested by users
  • Prevent fraud, spam and account abuse
  • Investigate reports and enforce safety rules
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and improve DILSET
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations
  • Respond to support, privacy and deletion requests

5. How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information.

5.1 Other DILSET users

Profile information, photographs and content you make visible may be shown to other users. Messages and shared media are available to their intended recipients.

5.2 Service providers

We may use providers for cloud infrastructure, database hosting, Google authentication, Firebase Cloud Messaging, media storage, security, diagnostics, technical support and payment processing if purchases are offered. They process information only as needed to provide their services to us and subject to their terms and law.

5.3 Safety and legal reasons

We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect a person from harm, investigate fraud or abuse, or protect DILSET and its users.

5.4 Business transfers

Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing or sale, subject to applicable law and appropriate protections.

6. Account deletion and restoration

You can request deletion inside DILSET through Profile → Settings → Delete Account.

After a valid request, your account becomes unavailable immediately and is scheduled for permanent deletion after 48 hours.

During those 48 hours, you may restore the same account by signing in with the same verified Google account. Creating a different account from the linked device or App Set may be restricted while deletion is pending.

If you do not restore the account, the account and associated active device link are permanently removed after the 48-hour period, subject to the limited retention described below.

6.1 External deletion request

If you cannot access the application, request deletion by emailing help@dilset.in with the subject “DILSET Account Deletion Request.” Contact us from the email associated with your DILSET account. We may ask you to verify ownership before processing the request.

7. Data retention

We retain account information while your account is active and as needed to provide DILSET. Following a deletion request, the account is unavailable immediately, remains restorable for 48 hours, and is then permanently deleted through our automated process.

Limited information may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, security or protection from harm.

Deleted information may remain temporarily in restricted backups for up to 30 days, after which it is removed or overwritten through routine backup cycles. Information retained for legal or security reasons is restricted from ordinary product use.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network transport, access controls, cryptographic hashing of device identifiers and hashed refresh-token storage. No storage or transmission system can guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • Access or correct personal information about you
  • Request deletion
  • Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Request a portable copy where applicable
  • Submit a privacy complaint or grievance

You can update certain profile information in DILSET. For other requests, email help@dilset.in. We may verify your identity before completing a request.

10. Permission controls

You may withdraw location or notification permission through Android settings. Withdrawing permission may prevent the related feature from working but does not automatically delete previously collected account information.

11. International processing

Our providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.

12. Third-party services

DILSET may interact with services such as Google and Firebase. Their handling of information is governed by their privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party websites we do not control.

13. Automated processing

DILSET may use automated systems to support matching, recommendations, fraud prevention, spam detection and safety.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, technology or legal obligations change. We will update the date at the top and provide additional notice where required.

Advertising and Third-Party Services

DilSet may display advertisements provided through third-party advertising services, including Unity Ads, ironSource/Unity LevelPlay, and Meta Audience Network.

These advertising partners may process information such as advertising identifiers, IP address, device and app information, approximate location derived from IP address, and interactions with advertisements. This information may be used to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud, improve advertising performance, and provide personalized advertising where permitted by law.

Where required, we request consent before using information for personalized advertising. Users can also manage advertising and privacy choices through their device settings and any consent controls provided within DilSet.

For more information, please review the Unity Privacy Policy and Meta Privacy Policy.
